The Holiday Provision Bill received its first reading in Parliament on 5th September and received cross party support. It is now in a drafting phase and will return to the House for its second reading in January. To find out more about the nature of the Bill and the need for its provisions for some of our most deprived and vulnerable families nationwide. Please follow the link below. You will also find an encouragement to write to your local MP asking for support of the Bill during its second reading.
Together Middlesbrough and Cleveland developed Feast of Fun in response to the kinds of needs the Holiday Provision Bill is addressing. This was generously supported by the Circuit amongst others because we recognise the importance of what is being accomplished. The link here will show you something of the way in which it worked this year:
TM&C also used the Feast of Fun project to develop some intergenerational work and the short film about the project
